About the home

A place to grow,
with structure and care.

Our home offers a family-style setting where every boy is met with a healthy balance of nurture and structure. Predictable daily routines, clear expectations, and supportive relationships help residents feel safe, build trust with caring adults, and strengthen the self-awareness, self-regulation, self-esteem, and self-efficacy that support personal growth.

Our approach

Trauma-Informed Care

TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI® uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI® is connection.

Empowering Principles

Address physical needs.

Connecting Principles

Meet attachment needs.

Correcting Principles

Disarm fear-based behaviors.
Our residential philosophy is to provide a safe, friendly home where every boy — including those who have had exposure to relational trauma and adverse childhood experiences — has the opportunity to build trusting relationships, consistently experience felt safety and predictability in his physical and social environment, and build or strengthen critical competencies for personal growth, including self-awareness, self-regulation, self-esteem, and self-efficacy. We recognize the widespread impact of trauma and adverse childhood experiences on both the youth we serve and the staff who care for them.

“When you connect to the heart of a child, everything is possible.”
